STIR FOUNDATION

Sustainocratic Transformation, Indexation and Research

Sustainocratic

Meaning that we put the 5 core human values upfront as defined in Sustainocracy. We define our priorities together always involving the 4 pillars of a complex human society: civilians (culture and behavious), goverance (territorial development and management of our common resources), entrepreneurs (creativity and economy) and scientists (knowledge and learning processes).

Transformation

We live and act in a reality that does not respect or even recognize the core human values and deals with the consequences in a remedial way. By becoming proactively responsable for the core values a transformation between one reality and the other is initiated. Once we getting to the habbit of doing this as part of our daily routines then we trust the process as evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

Indexation

It is important for progress to make the impact of our activities measurable. With the effort of indexation we can also determine our priorities by establishing a view about the ideal and current situation. STIR develops indexes that help us along.

Research

The introduction of Sustainocracy as way of developing a community together based on commonly shared core values introduces enormous amounts of new knowledge requirements. Experimentation, living labs, results driven projects, multidisciplinary cocreation, etc all provide opportunities for building up new practical and scientific knowledge. STIR is hence a research foundation.

Foundation

We are a community for the common good. We are core values oriented and have no political or economic objectives. Our partners do have these objectives which is excellent to expand and consolidate the values we created together.

STIR Foundation was registered in Eindhoven (Netherlands) in February 2009 by Jean-Paul Close in order to depersonalize the research challenge and having an independent entity to saveguard and make available all the knowledge obtained as STIR progresses with its mission.

TESTIMONIAL

“What have you done with our children? They have come back home more eager to learn than ever before! They even want to learn English! Can I send my other children too?"
